We are living in a time that often prioritizes movement, productivity, and constant engagement. Many of us feel the effects of this in our bodies and nervous systems, even when we don't yet have language for it. Spring, with its expansive energy and quickening pace, can amplify this, pulling us outward before we have found our footing.
Moving Inward Together is a seasonally inspired restorative yoga and acupuncture experience led by Letitia Walker and Jodi Lefkowitz, L.Ac. This offering is rooted in the understanding that healing is not only personal, but relational. States of regulation can unfold more fully when we slow down in the presence of others who are doing the same.
Letitia will guide a gentle, fully supported restorative practice designed to help the body settle without strain. The shapes are simple and spacious, inviting inward attention and ease. In select moments of stillness, Jodi will offer acupuncture or acupressure using three thoughtfully chosen points to support tenderness, rootedness, and a quiet sense of ground beneath the rising sprouts of sping. Essential oils will be available as an optional addition for those who find scent supportive.
In Chinese medicine, spring is associated with rising and renewal, a time of expansive movement when energy surges upward and outward. And yet, this vitality is best met from a place of inner stability. The acupuncture points used in this offering are selected to support that groundedness, not to quiet the aliveness of the season, but to give it roots. In this softer, more settled state, the body's own intelligence has more room to envision the path ahead, and move forward through these warmer months with appropriate vigor and flexibility.
Rather than following a single prescribed experience, this offering centers choice and attunement. You are invited to choose your own restful journey through posture and treatment, meeting the practice in a way that feels supportive and appropriate for you. There is no expectation to participate in every element in order to benefit from the whole.
Moving Inward Together is an invitation to rest within the whirlwind of spring — to find tenderness and rootedness, and to experience what becomes possible when inward attention is held in community.
